Hi Guys, here is another render created for and published in NAG magazine. The model was created in Autodesk 3dS MAX 9. Post was done in Photoshop as usual. I applied grain as well as a water colour brush. Lighting is the daylight system with one or 2 hilight only omni lights

This is a hearing aid i created for a character on one of the episodes of the SABC TV series, Stokvel. On the left is a mould made from 1mm black PST. The aid was formed of moulding clay
inside this.

this is a concept fruit bowl. the idea was originally a friend's however i created the 3d model and render. all work was done in 3DS MAX and Mental Ray
This is as far as the Apache Helicopter 3D model will go. Its time to take on a new challenge. The scene was rendered with Autodesk 3D studio Max via the Mental Ray engine utilising film grain and colour correction filters. No post production Photoshop work on this one. The Nag logo is inserted as this will be entered for the Nag magazing fan art comp.
the rotorblades and cockpit is completed. The next step will be a scene or environment.

This is a quick preview of the texture painting. The aim is to shoot for absolute photo realism. The model must be able to withstand close scrutiny from an educated viewer.

Here Is the AH64 with the UVW Unwrap in pgogress. The Tiled numbered map will show up any coordinate inconsistencies which may result in a stretched map. The red rectangle controlls tilt on the rotor blades.

this is my progress on the AH-64 Apache helicopter. Often helicopters are named according to their function for example: AH=attack helicopter. On the right is the missile pod not showing the
missiles. All work is done in 3DS MAX.

I have always liked the Scud Launcher, again, all 3d work was done in 3d studio and rendered with Mental Ray. You can see the billboard fires i used as opposed to the particle flow system.
(Billboarding will save time on a still frame but will always by second to Particle Flow in an animation)
